Job Description: CBSE Primary Social Science Teacher

Position: Primary Social Science Teacher

Location: Narayana Etechno school, Namakkal
Department: Primary School
Reports To: Principal / Academic Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Science lessons according to the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach concepts related to history, geography, civics, environmental studies, and social awareness using age-appropriate methods.
- Create interactive lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and classroom activities.
- Assess students through classwork, assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and responsible citizenship among students.
- Use teaching aids, technology, and hands-on learning activities to enhance understanding.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom workplace.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, training programs,



and extracurricular activities.
- Follow school policies and CBSE guidelines in teaching and assessment.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Science, or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- CTET or State TET qualification (preferred or as required by the school).
- Good understanding of the CBSE curriculum and pedagogy.

- Excellent lesson planning and organizational abilities.
- Ability to engage young learners through interactive teaching methods.
- Knowledge of educational technology and digital teaching tools.

Experience

- Freshers may be considered, depending on school requirements.
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
