Requisites
- Must have a solid Cost systems background and excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles with attention to detail
- Computer Literate – Strong Microsoft Office Skills (MS Excel in particular & familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with accounting software
- Self- motivated and able to multi- task
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
- Strong Financial & general ledger accounting knowledge
- Interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
Job Description
- Responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports- Planning, Studying,
and collecting data to determine costs of business activity
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for submission to management
- Making estimates of new and proposed service costs
- Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of services.
- Maintaining Cost Accounting System
- Assisting in month end close of the General Ledger
- Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management
- Assist the Staff Accountant with suggesting changes to policies or procedures to increase cash flow
- Generate PPV reports and analyse findings
- Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate
- Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
