Job Description – Ward Support Staff (OP & IP) - witin 10 KM distance from the hospital premises

Designation: Ward Support Staff (OP & IP)
Department: Nursing Services / Patient Care

Eligibility:

- Age: Below 35 years
- Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th Pass Max: Any degree
- Prior hospital experience preferred

Qualifications

- Minimum: 10th / 12th Standard Pass.
- Hospital attendant, nursing assistant, or patient care assistant training preferred.
- Previous hospital experience is desirable.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Support

- Assist nurses in attending to patient needs and comfort.
- Help patients with mobility, including transferring patients to wheelchairs, stretchers, or examination rooms.
- Assist elderly, disabled, and dependent patients as required.
- Provide support during admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.

OP (Outpatient) Duties

- Guide patients to consultation rooms, diagnostic areas, and treatment rooms.
- Assist in managing patient flow and waiting areas.
- Support nurses and doctors during outpatient procedures when required.




- Ensure OP areas remain clean, organized, and patient-friendly.

IP (Inpatient) Duties

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and wards.
- Assist with changing bed linens and preparing beds for recent admissions.
- Transport specimens, reports, medications, and medical supplies within the hospital.
- Support patient transfers between departments.

Skills Required:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring attitude towards patients.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.

Working Conditions

- Rotational shifts including day, evening, night, weekends, and public holidays.
- Continuous interaction with patients, attendants, nurses, and doctors.
