Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling OMS Developer / Technical Lead with 8+ years of backend engineering experience and strong hands-on expertise in IBM Sterling OMS, Java, Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-level OMS solutions, developing Java-based microservices, and working closely with technical and business stakeholders. The role also involves identifying and contextualizing potential AI/ML use cases within OMS and commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and enhance IBM Sterling OMS solutions supporting complex, multi-channel order lifecycles.
- Develop and lead Java-based microservices for OMS integrations and extensions.
- Work extensively with Sterling OMS configuration, extensions, APIs, user exits, and order flows.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions focused on scalability, resiliency, and extensibility.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, DevOps, and Integration teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Identify and evaluate AI/ML use cases within OMS and enterprise commerce platforms.
- Engage with senior-level client stakeholders and communicate technical solutions, trade-offs, and best practices.
- Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, security, and production readiness.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to scalable, long-term solutions.
- Work effectively within Agile delivery environments.

Mandatory Skills





- 8+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Sterling OMS.
- Experience with Sterling OMS configuration, extensions, APIs, user exits, and order flows.
- Solid expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Strong experience in Microservices architecture.
- Experience with Confluent Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, and EKS.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native application principles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise OMS and commerce platforms.
- Ability to understand and contextualize AI/ML use cases within OMS environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with AI/ML integration within enterprise platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
- Experience working directly with senior client stakeholders.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and best practices.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a technically strong IBM Sterling OMS professional who can take ownership of complex OMS solutions, contribute to architecture decisions, lead technical discussions, and work effectively with cross-functional and client-facing teams.
