Position Summary

The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products, components, and assemblies meet the company's quality standards and customer requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, process monitoring, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous quality improvement throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Control Engineer will work closely with Production, Stores, Procurement, and Engineering teams to maintain high product quality while minimizing defects and improving manufacturing efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesIncoming Quality Control (IQC)

- Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out components, and vendor-supplied parts.
- Verify materials against specifications, drawings, and purchase requirements.
- Approve, reject, or quarantine incoming materials based on inspection results.
- Coordinate with Procurement regarding supplier quality issues.
- Maintain incoming inspection records and documentation.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

- Conduct stage-wise inspections during manufacturing and assembly.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Verify dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments.
- Ensure process parameters are maintained within specified limits.
- Identify defects at early stages to minimize rework and rejection.

Final Quality Inspection (FQC)

- Perform final inspection before product dispatch.
- Verify product functionality, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct testing as per approved quality plans.
- Prepare quality clearance reports prior to shipment.




- Ensure only approved products are dispatched to customers.

Quality Assurance & Documentation

- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and test reports.
- Develop inspection checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure traceability of products and inspection records.
- Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments.
- Support ISO and internal quality management system documentation.

Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

- Identify non-conforming products and materials.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using quality tools.
- Initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to eliminate recurring defects.

Supplier Quality Coordination

- Monitor supplier quality performance.
- Coordinate supplier corrective actions for rejected materials.
- Assist in supplier audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain supplier quality performance records.

Continuous Improvement

- Drive quality improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S practices.
- Analyze quality trends and recommend process improvements.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Participate in new product quality planning and validation.

Team Coordination

- Work closely with Production, PPC, Stores, Procurement, and Design teams.




- Provide quality awareness and training to production personnel.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Support customer audits and internal quality audits.

Required QualificationsEducation

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Diploma candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.

2–5 years of experience in:
