Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, and IP addressing.
- Understanding of the OSI Model and network protocols.
- Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of:
o Routers
o Switches
o Wireless Access Points
o Firewalls (basic to intermediate) ---optional
- Knowledge of routing protocols:
o Static Routing
o RIP
o OSPF
o EIGRP
o BGP (preferred)
- VLAN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).
- DHCP, DNS, NAT, and NTP.
- Basic knowledge of network security concepts such as ACLs and firewall rules.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as:

- Packet analysis using Wireshark.

An L2 engineer should be able to:
