Experience:

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in backend development.
- Hands-on experience in API development, backend system implementation, and database management.
- Proven experience working with scalable backend applications and server-side technologies preferred.

Requirements:

- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services, APIs, and server-side application logic.
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs supporting web and mobile applications.
- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL for schema design, query optimization, and data management.
- Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performing.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and product stakeholders to deliver application features and enhancements.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code following development best practices and coding standards.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend application issues, production incidents, and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving backend architecture and engineering standards.
- Assist in deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of backend systems and services.
- Support CI/CD workflows, deployment automation, and version control processes.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices within backend applications and APIs.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture and distributed backend systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure,



or GCP will be considered an added advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and enterprise collaboration tools.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Timely delivery of backend modules, APIs, and assigned development tasks.
- API performance metrics including response time, throughput, scalability, and reliability.
- Code quality measured through maintainability, low defect rates, and adherence to coding standards.
- Reduction in production issues and faster issue resolution turnaround time.
- Database efficiency through optimized queries, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Contribution to overall system stability, scalability, and backend architecture improvements.
- Successful deployment cycles with minimal downtime or rollback incidents.

Skills & Competencies:

- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar frameworks.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API development and client-server architecture.
- Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent technologies.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture and backend scalability concepts.
- Familiarity with authentication, authorization, API security, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Git workflows and version control systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in agile and cross-functional development environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.
