Job Purpose

The Staff Nurse delivers basic to intermediate direct patient care under the supervision of a Nursing Supervisor or Senior Medical Officer. The role focuses on executing clinical protocols, monitoring patient recovery, administering prescribed medications, and maintaining strict safety and hygienic standards within the assigned department (Wards, ICU, OPD, or Emergency).

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care: Monitor and record vital signs (BP, heart rate, pulse oximetry, temperature) at regular intervals. Assist patients with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and mobility as required.

Medication Administration: Safely prepare and administer oral, IV, IM, and subcutaneous medications following doctor orders and proper protocol. Maintain accurate medication charts.

Clinical Procedures: Perform IV cannulation, catheterization, wound dressing, blood sample collection, and suctioning according to clinical standards.

Patient Monitoring & Reporting: Recognize early warning signs of clinical deterioration and promptly escalate critical changes to attending doctors/senior nurses.

Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records, nursing notes,



handovers, and discharge summaries.

Infection Control & Safety: Adhere strictly to hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, biomedical waste disposal, and hospital infection control policies.

Team Collaboration & Handovers: Conduct smooth bedside shift handovers to communicate current patient status, upcoming treatments, and pending lab results.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: B.Sc. Nursing or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) recognized institute.

Registration: Valid Nursing Council State Registration (RNRM).

Experience: 0 to 1 year of clinical exposure or completed hospital internship.

Key Skills & Knowledge

Basic understanding of human anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology.

Basic skills in IV insertion, catheter care, and vital monitoring.

High empathy, patient-first attitude, and emotional resilience under pressure.

Clear verbal communication and valuable active listening skills.

Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts (morning, evening, night).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
