As a Systems Engineer, you will design, build & maintain our core databases, distributed services and application servers. You will be working with abstractions for object stores, graph data, timeseries data, search, analytics & more. Most of our work uses frameworks like Finagle, Storm, Tornado, PrestoDB which are extensively used at companies like Facebook, Twitter etc.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide robust infrastructure & API for all the web & mobile products.
- Create and deploy services, libraries, and tools that streamline product experimentation, staging, deployments and operations at PaGaLGuY.

What We’re Looking For:

- Extensive experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, search infrastructure and large-scale data processing.
- Experience of working on JVM, asynchronous I/O, event loops, concurrency and the Java memory model.
- Strong background in algorithms and data structures.
- Strong programming capabilities in at least one programming language and write code that is effective, maintainable, transparent, and concise.
- Preferred, experience with databases likes MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached etc.
- Experience with frameworks like Hadoop or Storm is a plus.
