Description and Skills: Wysetek is seeking an experienced Confluent Team Leader to guide a dynamic team of developers and engineers in building high-performance data streaming solutions on the Confluent Platform and Apache Kafka. This role is ideal for a technically skilled leader with a strong foundation in data architecture and streaming technologies, coupled with a passion for mentoring and innovative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Inspire: Oversee a team of engineers, driving the design, implementation, and maintenance of data streaming solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with different teams to define project requirements, goals, and deliverables.
- Maintain High Performance: Ensure data streaming applications and architecture deliver reliable, high-speed performance.
- Mentorship and Growth: Coach team members and cultivate a culture focused on continuous improvement and technological advancement.
- Stay Ahead in Data Streaming: Keep up-to-date with data streaming trends and best practices, ensuring the team’s alignment with industry standards.
- Efficient Project Management:
Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to achieve successful, timely project outcomes.
- Effective Communication: Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear and aligned objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve challenges related to data pipelines, integrations, and system performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform.
- Leadership: Solid team management and leadership skills, ideally within Agile environments.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge in data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance.
- Cloud and Containerization: Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Skills
Broader Knowledge: Familiarity with other data streaming technologies and frameworks.
Certifications: Apache Kafka or Confluent Platform certification.
