Job Summary

The Oxford School, Kollam is seeking a passionate and qualified PGT Computer Science Teacher to teach CBSE Classes XI & XII. The ideal candidate should possess excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations while fostering innovation and computational thinking.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Computer Science to students of Classes XI & XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
- Conduct practical sessions in the computer laboratory.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations with regular assessments and revision.
- Teach programming concepts including Python, SQL, Data Structures, and Computer Networks.
- Guide students in coding projects, innovation, and competitions.
- Integrate ICT tools and smart classroom technology into teaching.
- Maintain student attendance,



assessment records, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance.
- Participate in school activities, examinations, staff meetings, and career development programs.

Qualifications

- M.Sc. Computer Science / M.Sc. IT / MCA or equivalent from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. is preferred (mandatory as per CBSE norms where applicable).
- Excellent command of English.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Office 365, and modern educational technology.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.

Skills Required

- Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Classroom management and student mentoring.
- Ability to use smart boards, LMS, and digital teaching tools.
