Job Summary

The Logistics cum Fleet Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the company's transportation and fleet operations to ensure the timely collection, movement, and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The role involves fleet management, route optimization, vendor coordination, compliance with transportation regulations, cost control, and ensuring efficient logistics operations while maintaining high safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics Management

- Plan and coordinate 40–50 waste liftings per day across multiple customer locations, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Manage the end-to-end logistics process, including waste collection, transportation, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Operations, Plant, Procurement, and EPR Compliance teams for seamless execution of logistics activities.
- Monitor dispatches and ensure timely movement of materials across all operating locations.
- Optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency, reduce turnaround time, and control logistics costs.
- Coordinate with transport vendors and ensure timely vehicle availability to meet operational requirements.

Fleet Management

- Manage a fleet of 30–40 vehicles on a daily basis to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Arrange approximately 70% of the required fleet through local transport vendors/market operators, while efficiently managing the remaining 30% company-owned fleet.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with transporters and fleet vendors to ensure vehicle availability at competitive rates.
- Monitor vehicle utilization and maximize fleet productivity.
- Schedule preventive maintenance, servicing, repairs, and fitness inspections for company-owned vehicles.
- Ensure all vehicles have valid statutory documents, including Registration Certificates (RC), Insurance, Pollution Under Control (PUC), Fitness Certificates, Road Tax,



and Permits.
- Maintain records of vehicle performance, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance history.
- Monitor GPS tracking and vehicle movement for operational efficiency.

Driver & Vendor Management

- Supervise drivers and logistics support staff.
- Prepare driver duty rosters and vehicle allocation schedules.
- Manage relationships with external transport vendors and negotiate transportation rates when required.
- Ensure drivers possess valid driving licenses and comply with all traffic and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and monitor driver performance.

Operational Coordination

- Coordinate closely with customers for scheduling waste pickups and deliveries.
- Resolve transportation-related issues and ensure prompt customer support.
- Ensure smooth coordination between plant operations, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Handle urgent vehicle requirements and operational escalations to minimize service disruptions.

Documentation & Compliance

- Ensure proper documentation for waste transportation, including manifests, e-way bills, weighbridge slips, gate passes, delivery challans, and statutory records.
- Maintain accurate logistics and fleet MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with CPCB, SPCB, Motor Vehicle Act, and Hazardous Waste Management Rules applicable to transportation.
- Support internal and external audits related to logistics and fleet operations.

Cost & Performance Management

- Monitor transportation costs, fuel expenses, maintenance costs, and vendor bills.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality.
- Prepare monthly logistics performance reports and fleet utilization reports.




- Implement initiatives to improve fleet efficiency and reduce vehicle downtime.

Health, Safety & Environment

- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Promote protected driving practices and adherence to road safety standards.
- Investigate vehicle incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Fleet Management or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in logistics, fleet management, transportation, or waste management operations.
- Experience in hazardous waste, industrial waste, environmental services, oil recycling, or related industries will be preferred.

- Successful management of 40–50 daily waste liftings.

- Timely arrangement of outsourced fleet (approximately 70%) while effectively managing the company-owned fleet (approximately 30%).
- On-time waste collection and delivery.
- Reduction in transportation costs and vehicle downtime.
- Compliance with statutory and safety requirements.
- Customer satisfaction and timely resolution of logistics issues.
- Accuracy of logistics documentation and MIS reporting.
- Effective management of drivers and transport vendors.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
