Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer with 5–10 years of experience & Minimum 3 years experience in Process equipment design, in you’ll conceptualize, develop, and refine mechanical solutions for industrial processing equipment, collaborating closely with process engineers, production teams, and clients to deliver robust and optimized designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed 2D/3D mechanical designs for industrial equipment adhering to client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Create and manage CAD models, mechanical drawings, and BOMs using software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and GD&T; for manufacturability and assembly.
- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors for development and production support.
- Ensure designs align with quality standards, while optimizing for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain meticulous design documentation and archives (soft and hard copies).

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Diploma,Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required),

BSC( Tech); A postgraduate degree is a plus.

- Experience: 5–8 years designing industrial machinery—preferably in equipment like mixers, blenders, dryers, granulators, evaporators, or similar.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks,



Solid Edge,AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals: materials, mechanisms, manufacturing, and GD&T.;
- Familiarity with industrial machinery used in sectors like chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, meet strict deadlines, and deliver results.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with process-driven design methodologies and fluid/thermal equipment.
- Knowledge of powder processing technologies (e.g., granulation, drying).
- Exposure to custom-machine workflows and after-sales engineering is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in design validation through prototyping or testing.
