Job Description – Mechanical Trainer (Solid Edge)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Trainer with expertise in Solid Edge to deliver industry-focused training in 2D drafting, 3D modeling, assembly design, sheet metal, and engineering documentation. The trainer will provide hands-on learning, guide students through real-time projects, and prepare them for careers in mechanical design and product development.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver classroom and practical training in Solid Edge software.
- Train students in 2D drafting, 3D part modeling, assembly modeling, and detailing.
- Teach Sheet Metal, Weldments, Surface Modeling, and Exploded Views.
- Guide students in engineering drawing standards, GD&T;, and design principles.
- Conduct project-based learning using real-world industrial examples.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and practical assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide technical guidance.
- Assist students in completing academic and industrial projects.
- Maintain training records and ensure effective classroom management.
- Stay updated with the latest Solid Edge features and mechanical design trends.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in Solid Edge.




- Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of 3D modeling, assemblies, sheet metal, and drafting.
- Familiarity with GD&T; and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1–5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design or Technical Training.
- Solid Edge certification is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in product design and mechanical component development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Ability to mentor students through live industrial projects and placement preparation.
