- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for modular furniture components.
- Generate machine-ready programs from production drawings and CAD files.
- Configure machining parameters including drilling, routing, grooving, cutting and edge profiling.
- Verify program accuracy before production.
Production Support
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure accurate execution of manufacturing drawings.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining product quality.
- Reduce material wastage through efficient nesting and toolpath optimization.
Machine Setup & Operations
- Assist machine operators during program setup and first-piece inspection.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and machining strategies.
- Ensure proper calibration of CNC machines before production.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend process improvements.
Quality Assurance
- Verify dimensions against production drawings.
- Ensure finished components meet company quality standards.
- Maintain programming documentation and revision history.
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues.
Maintenance & Safety
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams regarding tooling and machine issues.
- Maintain organized program libraries and backups.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in the modular furniture, woodworking, or panel processing industry.
- Experience with CNC routers used for MDF, plywood, particle board, HDF, and laminated boards.
- Strong understanding of woodworking manufacturing processes.
