Summary

UST is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer – IBM InfoSphere MDM (Java Full Stack) to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using IBM InfoSphere MDM. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Virtual MDM administration, Java-based API development, data governance, and integration frameworks, along with the ability to lead technical teams and deliver scalable, high-performance MDM solutions.

The Opportunity

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable IBM InfoSphere MDM solutions across multiple environments.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and support IBM InfoSphere Virtual MDM environments.
- Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot batch and real-time data processing jobs.
- Configure and manage IXM/BXM jobs to support enterprise data integration workflows.
- Perform data validation, data quality assessments, and root-cause analysis using MDM utilities such as TXM and MemCompare.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful and SOAP-based MDM services using Java and MadAPI.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and data governance teams to define MDM strategies, data governance policies, and enterprise data standards.
- Optimize MDM workflows, matching algorithms, survivorship rules, and overall system performance.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of MDM platforms through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Lead technical teams, mentor junior engineers, and provide guidance on best practices and solution design.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Need

Required Skills





- Strong experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM (Virtual MDM) administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Expertise in designing and implementing matching algorithms, survivorship rules, and data quality frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with IXM/BXM data integration and job orchestration.
- Experience using TXM and MemCompare utilities for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Strong Java development experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Experience developing and integrating MDM services using MadAPI.
- Knowledge of enterprise data modeling, Master Data Management concepts, and data governance.
- Experience optimizing MDM performance and large-scale data processing workflows.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, debugging, and secure application development.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Desired Skills

- Experience with Java Full Stack development.
- Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Application Server and enterprise Java environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment environments is an added advantage.

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), Master's in Computer Applications (MCA), or a related technical discipline.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management (Virtual MDM).
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale MDM solutions.
