Job Summary

Brillant Seagul Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled Marine Engine Technician to undertake maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and inspection of marine engines and associated mechanical systems installed on boats and marine vessels. The candidate should be willing to work at project sites in Tamil Nadu and possess hands-on experience in marine engine operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marine Engine Maintenance

· Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of marine engines.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot engine-related mechanical faults.

· Perform engine servicing, repairs, overhauling, and component replacement.

· Monitor engine performance and identify operational issues.

2. Mechanical Systems

· Maintain propulsion systems and associated mechanical equipment.

· Inspect and repair fuel systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and exhaust systems.

· Check engine alignment, vibration, and operational efficiency.

· Assist in the installation and commissioning of marine engines and related equipment.

3. Inspection & Troubleshooting

· Conduct routine inspections and performance checks.

· Identify root causes of mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.

· Maintain maintenance records and service reports.

· Ensure availability of required spare parts and consumables.

4. Safety & Compliance

· Follow company safety standards and client site regulations.





· Maintain safe working practices while carrying out maintenance activities.

· Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools and equipment.

5. Educational Qualification

· ITI (Diesel Mechanic / Fitter / Motor Mechanic) OR

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR

· Equivalent technical qualification.

6. Experience Required

· 2–5 years of experience in marine engine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

· Experience working on marine vessels, boats, patrol boats, fishing vessels, tug boats, or similar marine applications will be preferred.

· Experience with diesel marine engines is highly desirable.

· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
