Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting machined components to ensure they meet customer drawings, specifications, GD&T; requirements, and quality standards. The role includes in-process, final, and incoming inspections, maintaining inspection records, and supporting continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of CNC machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and specifications.
- Measure components using precision measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer (Inside & Outside)
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Dial Indicator
- Thread Gauges (Plug/Ring)
- Pin Gauges
- Surface Roughness Tester
- CMM (preferred)
- Understand and inspect components based on GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Record inspection results and maintain inspection reports.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming products.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and coordinate corrective actions.
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) for new components.
- Verify setup approval before production.
- Ensure calibration status of measuring instruments before use.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain quality records as per ISO 9001/IATF/AS9100 requirements (as applicable).
- Participate in internal audits and customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with 5S and safety practices in the inspection area.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning,



and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes (Turning, VMC, HMC).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and mechanical symbols.
- Good understanding of GD&T.;
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and quality standards.
- Familiarity with SPC, 7 QC Tools, and basic problem-solving methods.
- Computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word, ERP is an advantage).
- Good communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications:

- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Certification in Quality Inspection is an added advantage.

Experience:

- 2–5 years of experience in a CNC machine shop or precision engineering industry.
- Experience in inspecting precision-machined components for automotive, aerospace, or industrial applications is preferred.

Preferred Knowledge:

- ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Control Plan and Process Flow.
- PPAP documentation (preferred).
- MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
- Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram).
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen.

- Inspection Accuracy
- On-Time Inspection Completion
- Calibration Compliance
- Internal Audit Compliance
- Documentation Accuracy

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
