Job Descritpion of IBM Sterling File Gateway

4 to 6 Years Relevant Experience

Key Responsibilities:

- Configure and provision business partners in IBM Sterling Integrator and File Gateway to enable secure and reliable B2B data transfers.
- Design and implement custom business processes and channel templates to address enterprise-specific file transfer requirements.
- Conduct research and development (R&D;) to build or enhance monitoring and statistical tools for improved system availability and performance insights.
- Perform regular File Gateway administration tasks, including system maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure operational efficiency.
- Execute Connect:Direct installation and configuration to support secure, point-to-point file transmissions.

Preferred Skills (Good-to-Have):

- Linux/Unix Expertise: Familiarity with operating in Linux/Unix environments, with the ability to leverage scripting and automation tools for effective system management.
- Scripting Experience: Hands-on experience in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl,



or Python to build automation utilities and streamline administrative tasks.
- EDI Knowledge: Functional understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards and processes to support B2B communication and integration scenarios.

Role Expectations:

- Analyze business requirements and deliver optimal solutions for file transfer and integration workflows using IBM Sterling technologies.
- Provision and configure partners based on integration specifications, ensuring seamless onboarding and data exchange.
- Innovate and implement monitoring tools and performance metrics to support proactive system management.
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional groups to ensure successful project execution and operational support.
- Lead or support the deployment of Connect:Direct to facilitate secure and compliant file transfers.
