About the Client

The Client is a boutique business financing firm. As direct funders of merchant cash advances, they specialize in high-risk and challenging cases. Their mission is to ensure every U.S. business has access to vital capital.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop Machine learning models to solve different business problems or for different use cases such as Credit Risk, Fraud Risk etc., and conduct thorough testing and validation of models
- Conduct data analysis and turn insights into actionable changes for predictive models or policies




- Partner with IT to deploy the Machine learning Models in the production
- Undertake collection, preprocessing and analysis of structured and unstructured data
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors, Master or Ph.D. Degree, preferably in a quantitative area such as statistics or Data science or Business analytics
- 5+ years of experience in building Predictive models and data processing with robust analytical, conceptual, and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of building new models and improving existing models
- Deep understanding of various statistical/ML modeling techniques and algorithms such as XGBoost, Logistics Regression, Random Forest etc.,
- Proficiency in SQL. Highly skilled in at least one of the following languages: Python or R
- Prior working experience in building credit risk models or experience in small business lending are added advantage
