Role Overview

The Senior Executive is responsible for designing and developing new bag (soft & hard luggage) collections from concept to prototype, ensuring every product meets market trends, customer expectations, quality standards, and manufacturing feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop innovative bag and luggage products based on market trends, customer requirements, and brand positioning.
- Create product concepts, sketches, specifications, and technical details for new developments.
- Develop prototypes and samples while coordinating with the sampling team to ensure timely execution.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, fittings, accessories, and components based on product functionality and aesthetics.
- Work closely with sourcing, merchandising, production, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with vendors for fabrics, accessories, printing, embroidery, branding, and other development requirements.




- Evaluate samples for design accuracy, functionality, construction quality, and manufacturability, recommending improvements wherever required.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, materials, colours, and product innovations.
- Maintain design documentation, material libraries, sample records, and product specifications.
- Ensure products are developed within target cost while maintaining quality and design standards.
- Support continuous innovation by proposing new ideas, materials, and product features.

Qualifications:

- Diploma / Degree in Product Design, Fashion Design, Accessories Design, Leather Design, or related field preferred.

Skills & Experience

- 3–6 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in bags, luggage, leather goods, accessories, footwear, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of bag construction, materials, trims, fittings, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in new product development, sample creation, and prototype evaluation.
- Good knowledge of fabrics, hardware, colours, textures, and product aesthetics.
- Ability to translate concepts into commercially viable products.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CoralDRAW, or similar tools will be an added advantage.
- Creative mindset with excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple development projects while meeting timelines.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
