Job Summary

Rapid HVAC Solutions is looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer – QA/QC with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to support civil engineering quality assurance and quality control activities for the construction of a steel manufacturing unit and associated buildings in and around Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all civil works meet design specifications, client requirements, and applicable Indian standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for civil construction works at site
- Review and verify civil design drawings, RCC drawings, and structural layouts
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, IS codes, and quality plans
- Conduct site inspections for foundations, structural works, concreting, civil finishing, and infrastructure works
- Coordinate with design, execution, HVAC, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues
- Review and approve method statements, material submittals, and inspection checklists
- Supervise material testing including concrete, steel, soil, and other civil materials
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective action reports
- Liaise with consultants, third-party inspectors, and client representatives




- Support project teams during audits and quality reviews
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and statutory requirements at site

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- QA/QC for industrial / steel plant construction projects
- Site execution and civil quality monitoring
- Hands-on experience in RCC works, foundations, structural civil works, and industrial buildings
- Strong knowledge of Indian Standards (IS Codes) and quality control procedures

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with design review processes
- Good understanding of QA/QC systems and documentation
- Ability to read and interpret structural and civil drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Willingness to work at construction sites in and around Chennai

Preferred Skills

- Experience in steel manufacturing plants or heavy industrial projects
- Knowledge of HVAC-related civil coordination
- Exposure to audits and third-party inspections
