PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer

Job Summary

SRG Power Control System is looking for a skilled PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer to design, develop, test, commission, and maintain industrial automation systems. The candidate will be responsible for PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, VFD integration, industrial communication networks, and site commissioning activities for various industrial applications.

Key ResponsibilitiesPLC Programming

- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Prepare control logic based on customer requirements and process flow.
- Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
- Optimize automation systems for performance and reliability.

HMI & SCADA Development

- Design and develop HMI screens and SCADA applications.
- Configure alarms, trends, reports, and process monitoring systems.
- Ensure user-friendly operator interfaces.

System Integration

- Integrate PLCs with VFDs, Soft Starters, Sensors, Instruments, and Control Panels.
- Configure communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, CANopen, and RS485.
- Interface third-party devices and automation equipment.

Testing & Commissioning

- Conduct in-house testing of control panels and automation systems.
- Perform site commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support during installation and startup.

Documentation





- Prepare IO lists, functional descriptions, operating manuals, and technical documents.
- Maintain backup copies of programs and project files.
- Generate commissioning and testing reports.

Customer Support

- Provide technical support to customers and service teams.
- Attend breakdown calls and resolve automation-related issues.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel when required.

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech (EEE, ECE, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation)
- Diploma in Electrical / Electronics with relevant experience may also apply.

Experience

- 1 to 2 years of experience in Industrial Automation and PLC Programming.
