Position: Microbiologist

Key Responsibilities

- Perform plate count, aerobic bacteria, yeast & mold testing, and neutralization validation.
- Conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials, finished products, and water samples.
- Perform environmental monitoring of microbiology laboratory and production/packing areas.
- Carry out compressed air monitoring and sterility testing after sterilization.
- Execute media qualification, growth promotion, and diluent qualification tests.
- Perform Gram staining, oxidase test, motility test, and swab testing.
- Monitor control points and maintain aseptic laboratory practices.
- Prepare, label, store, and maintain microbiological media and cultures.
- Identify, preserve, and maintain microbial cultures.
- Perform microbial checking of sanitized drums and equipment.
- Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments such as Autoclave, Incubator, pH Meter, Conductivity Meter, Weighing Balance, Thermometers, and Thermo-Hygrometers.
- Maintain laboratory records, documentation, sampling reports, and calibration schedules.
- Perform product sampling, release testing, and investigate Out of Specification (OOS) results.




- Support IQ/OQ/PQ qualification and validation activities for microbiological equipment.
- Carry out corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for microbiology laboratory activities.
- Perform UV intensity checks, biosafety hood cleaning, laminar airflow monitoring, and autoclave validation.
- Conduct water sampling, plating, tank sampling, and process sampling as per testing schedule.
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste and maintain laboratory housekeeping in compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Qualification

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Microbiology or a related Life Science discipline.
