Job Description – PRT Hindi Teacher (CBSE)

Position: Primary Teacher (PRT) – Hindi
Department: Academics
Location: BVM Global School – Coimbatore
Reports To: Primary School Coordinator / Principal
Curriculum: CBSE

Job Summary

The Primary Hindi Teacher is responsible for teaching Hindi to students in Grades I to V, fostering language proficiency through engaging, activity-based, and learner-centered teaching methods. The teacher will create a positive classroom setting that promotes reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while nurturing students' appreciation for the Hindi language and culture.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective Hindi lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, unit plans, lesson plans, and learning resources.
- Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and comprehension skills.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies, storytelling, role plays, songs, and language games to enhance learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Integrate technology and digital resources into classroom teaching where appropriate.

Student Assessment

- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE guidelines.
- Evaluate assignments, classwork, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings.

Classroom Management

- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Maintain classroom discipline with positive reinforcement strategies.
- Encourage active student participation and collaborative learning.
- Ensure proper maintenance of classroom resources.

Co-Curricular Activities





- Organize Hindi literary activities such as:
- Storytelling
- Elocution
- Poetry Recitation
- Handwriting Competitions
- Hindi Diwas Celebrations
- Cultural Programmes
- Support school events and academic competitions.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Maintain attendance, academic records, and documentation.
- Complete assigned duties such as examination invigilation and event coordination.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programmes.
- Comply with all school policies and CBSE guidelines.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Hindi or relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. (Mandatory).
- CTET/TET qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum and pedagogical practices.

Experience

- Freshers with strong subject knowledge may apply.
- 1–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.

- Basic English communication skills.
- Strong classroom management abilities.
- Lesson planning and curriculum implementation.
