- Plan, supervise, and monitor district healthcare services.
- Implement national and state health programs.
- Manage government hospitals, primary health centers (PHCs), and community health centers (CHCs).
- Supervise medical officers, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Monitor disease surveillance, outbreak control, and immunization programs.
- Ensure availability of medicines, equipment, and medical supplies.
- Prepare reports, budgets, and health statistics.
- Coordinate with district administration and other government departments.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Respond to public health emergencies and disasters.
