Role Overview

Vehant Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in secure, mission-critical IT environments.
The role involves designing, managing, and securing IT infrastructure supporting Vehant’s security solutions, including R&D; systems, production environments, and deployed customer systems.
Candidates with prior experience in private defence companies or regulated environments will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, manage, and secure enterprise IT infrastructure across Vehant locations and project sites.
- Lead administration of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Manage network infrastructure and security, including firewalls, VPNs, VLAN segmentation, and access control.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, system hardening, and best practices.
- Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and audit mechanisms.
- Support secure R&D;, testing, and production environments, including isolated or restricted setups.
- Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, SOCs, and security vendors.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior IT team members.
- Lead incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams,



and compliance documentation.
- Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and compliance requirements.
- Act as a key IT stakeholder during customer deployments and critical project phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics.
- 5–7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Engineering roles.
- Solid hands-on experience with:

Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL)

Windows Server environments

Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPNs)

Virtualization platforms (VMware / KVM)

- Strong understanding of security, access control, logging, and monitoring.
- Ability to manage critical infrastructure with minimal downtime.

Strongly Preferred

- Experience working with private defence companies, security products, or regulated environments.
- Exposure to:

Restricted / secure networks

Audit-driven IT environments

Endpoint security, DLP, SIEM, or log management tools

- Certifications (preferred, not mandatory):

RHCSA / RHCE

CCNA / CCNP

ITIL

Security-focused certifications
