A Fiber Pulling Technician is responsible for installing, pulling, routing, and securing fiber optic cables for telecom and broadband network projects. The technician ensures proper cable installation while following safety and quality standards. IPreferred Candidate
- Two-member team at each location:
- 1 Technician with a Bike
- 1 Helper/Assistant technician (travels with the technician)
Key Responsibilities
- Pull fiber optic cables through ducts, conduits, and overhead routes.
- Assist in laying underground and aerial fiber cables.
- Install HDPE ducts, micro ducts, and cable trays.
- Perform cable routing, dressing, and tagging.
- Support fiber splicing and testing teams.
- Read route maps and cable layout drawings.
- Ensure proper handling of fiber cables to avoid damage.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Follow all site safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Report daily work progress to the site supervisor.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of fiber optic cable installation.
- Ability to use hand tools and cable pulling equipment.
- Physically fit to work outdoors and at different project sites.
- Teamwork and positive communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in field operations.
