Experience:

- 3–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in electronics, instrumentation, industrial automation, or mechanical manufacturing is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procure mechanical, electronic, instrumentation, and electrical components based on production requirements.
- Source and develop new vendors while maintaining relationships with existing suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and annual rate contracts.
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend suppliers.
- Generate and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and R&D; teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Work with the Quality team to resolve supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Track inventory levels and support cost optimization while avoiding stock-outs.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier database, and documentation.
- Identify alternate sources for critical components to reduce supply chain risks.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality requirements.

Required Skills:





- Good understanding of electronic components (PCBs, ICs, connectors, sensors, passive components).
- Knowledge of mechanical components (machined parts, sheet metal, castings, fasteners, valves, fittings, etc.).
- Familiarity with instrumentation components such as flow sensors, pressure sensors, cables, transmitters, and industrial connectors.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good analytical and cost comparison abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with Tally, SAP, Odoo, or similar ERP is an advantage).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or Diploma in Supply Chain/Materials Management is an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Manufacturing industry experience is mandatory.
- Experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), industrial products, instrumentation, or water meter manufacturing will be highly preferred.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, organized, and capable of handling multiple suppliers simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
