We are looking for a skilled and dedicated OT Staff Nurse to support surgical procedures and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre for scheduled surgeries by ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and sterile.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and the surgical team during gynecological, obstetric, laparoscopic, pediatric, and other surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-operative patient assessments and ensure proper patient identification and surgical site verification.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Prepare, count, and manage surgical instruments, sponges, needles, and other consumables before, during, and after surgery.
- Monitor patients during surgical procedures and assist the anesthesia team when required.
- Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Maintain accurate OT documentation, including surgical records, instrument counts, and patient records.
- Coordinate with the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), nursing units, and consultants for smooth OT operations.




- Respond effectively during emergency surgeries and obstetric emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and NABH guidelines.

Qualification

- B.Sc. Nursing or GNM (Mandatory)
- Valid State Nursing Council Registration.

Experience

- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an OT Staff Nurse in a multi-specialty hospital.
- Experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG), Maternity, Women's & Child Healthcare, or Laparoscopic Surgery is preferred.

- Surgical instrument handling and sterilization.
- Aseptic and infection control practices.
- Assisting in obstetric, gynecological, laparoscopic, and pediatric surgeries.
- Patient monitoring and perioperative care.
- Knowledge of OT equipment and anesthesia support.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency cases.

Preferred Certifications

- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
- Infection Control Training (Preferred)
