Job Title: HVAC Assistant Technician

Job Summary

An HVAC Assistant Technician supports senior HVAC technicians and engineers in the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The role involves assisting with equipment handling, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the installation of HVAC equipment, including VRF systems, split ACs, cassette ACs, ducted ACs, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems.
- Support ducting, piping, insulation, and equipment installation activities.
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to the worksite.
- Assist in electrical wiring, piping connections, and equipment testing under supervision.
- Help clean, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed by senior technicians.
- Assist in identifying basic faults and reporting issues to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper storage of tools.




- Follow safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support commissioning and testing of HVAC systems.
- Complete assigned tasks within project timelines.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Willingness to learn HVAC installation and maintenance procedures.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Physically fit to lift equipment and work at heights when required.

Qualifications

- ITI (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning/Electrician/Fitter) or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Freshers or candidates with 0–2 years of HVAC experience.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC tools and equipment is an advantage.
