Role Overview:

The MES Senior Solution Consultant is a hands-on technical role responsible for configuration, customization, integration, and support of MES solutions. The role focuses on technical execution and delivery, working under defined architecture and design guidelines.

Detailed Technical Skill Requirements:

1. MES Platform & Configuration Skills

 Strong hands-on experience withSiemens Opcenter / Camstar OR Delmia Apriso.

 Experience configuring: o Workflows, routing, operations, steps o Production orders, dispatch rules, and execution models o Quality execution (NC, SPC, defect tracking) o Genealogy, traceability, material tracking

 Familiarity with MES data models, base objects, and extensions.

 Ability to work with MES configuration tools, scripting frameworks, and UI configurations.

2. ISA-95 / ISA-88 Standards (Applied Knowledge)

 Working knowledge ofISA-95 concepts: o Enterprise MES Control layer separation

o Master data vs transactional data

o Production, quality, inventory, and maintenance models

3. Integration & Interoperability Skills

 Hands-on experience inMES–ERP integration (SAP preferred): o Production orders o BOM / Master data o Inventory and confirmations

 Experience working with Camstar Interoperability (CIO) / MOM modules.

 Strong understanding of: o Inbound & outbound messaging o XML / JSON payloads o Message queues / adapters

 Shop-floor integration exposure: o PLC,



SCADA systems o OPC / OPC UA o IoT gateways / edge systems

4. Development & Customization Skills  Robust development and scripting experience with:

o .NET / C# o Python  Ability to: o Develop custom logic, scripts, and extensions

o Debug MES-related issues and logs o Optimize performance of custom components

 Exposure toAPI-based integrations and service calls.

 Basic experience with version control and deployment processes.

5. Low-Code / No-Code & UI Extensions

 Hands-on exposure to Mendix:

o Building simple applications

o Creating MES extensions or dashboards

o Integrating Mendix apps with MES services or APIs

 Ability to support user-centric MES apps for operators, supervisors, or quality teams.

6. Reporting & Manufacturing Analytics

 Strong experience with:

o Power BI

o SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

o Crystal Reports

 Ability to: o Write complex SQL queries o Extract MES transactional and historical data o Build operational dashboards for production, quality, and

KPIs

 Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (OEE, yield, cycle time, downtime).

7. Database & Data Handling Skills

 Hands-on experience with databases: o SQL Server o Oracle o PostgreSQL

 Ability to: o Analyze MES schemas o Write stored procedures, views, and functions o Troubleshoot performance and data issues

 Basic understanding of data archival and housekeeping in MES environments
