- Maintaining and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems:Entering, updating, and retrieving patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Compiling and organizing patient information:Gathering data from various sources, including doctor's notes, test results, and treatment plans.
- Coding diagnoses and procedures:Utilizing standard coding systems like ICD, CPT, and HCPCS to classify medical information for billing and data analysis.
- Verifying and updating patient records:Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of patient information:Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
