The role is to assist the team in the development and delivery of cable systems activities for substation projects .

Your main cable systems for 11kV and above upto 132kV design activities in this role includes:

- Head team of 2-3 engineers and CAD.

- Keep project on track and achieve required milestones for the project.

- Liaise with Project managers and Head of engineering.

- Report status of each project.

- Checking and approving senior engineer design works.

- Responsible for yearly appraisal and development activities of team members and report to head of engineering.

When required preform below listed activities:-

- HVAC cable calculations as per Local DNO regulations and general regulations and standards. Fully Conversant with ENA/IEC/BS standards.

- Help in feasibility drawings of route design and trench sections to feasibility tendering team.

- Generating detailed cable reports and coordinating with other disciplines.

- Riase RFI/TQs for start of project. lead on Information required and attend meetings.

- Fully conversant and independently do with Cable sizing, cable pulling, cable thrust calcs reports. Help in design and procurement of cable and accessories.

- Cable sealing end structure design and interface with Primary design engineering.





- Proposing approaches to solve problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

- Reviewing and optimising design, routing, JB location marking.

- Design of cable management system for HV and EHV cables.

- Contribute your technical expertise into tender proposals and to represent the company in client meetings as appropriate.

- Review supplier drgs and data sheets.

- Fully conversant with Autocad. Do ad-hoc CAD drawings if required.

- Cable sizing for substation area. Liaise with primary engineering.

- Attend meeting with Clients and DNOs.

Your projects will include:

- HVAC and HVDC Offshore Windfarm projects

Your role will give you opportunities to:

- Perform work in accordance with the agreed budget and schedule with little supervision.

- Independently perform the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works to standard and compliant regulations.

- Coordinate across project disciplines, external subcontractors and remote offices such that technical risks are identified and mitigated, and all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
