Job Title: Safety Officer (Civil – Commercial Projects)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Officer with a Civil Engineering background and experience in commercial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE standards, ensuring statutory compliance, conducting site inspections, and promoting a secure working environment throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safety regulations, and statutory requirements at commercial construction sites.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Monitor civil construction activities such as excavation, formwork, scaffolding, concreting, structural work, and work at height.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
- Issue and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) for high-risk activities.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain safety standards across the site.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, contractors,



and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor fire safety equipment, emergency preparedness, and first aid arrangements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Certification in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH is preferred.
- Experience: 3–6 years as a Safety Officer in commercial building construction projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹300,000.00 per year
