Key Responsibilities

- Design analog and digital hardware architectures for embedded controller modules, including CPU/microcontroller sections, power supplies, digital/analog I/O, and communication/expansion interfaces.
- Develop, review, and maintain schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using Altium Designer or KiCad, ensuring compliance with DFM/DFT and manufacturability requirements.
- Select and qualify industrial-grade components through lifecycle, derating, and reliability analysis, considering environmental factors such as temperature, vibration, and electrical noise.
- Design robust power solutions, including SMPS, LDOs, DC-DC converters, battery management systems, input protection, isolation, and regulation circuits.
- Design communication and interface circuits supporting UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, RS485, Ethernet, USB, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
- Develop protection and isolation circuitry for I/O channels, including optocouplers, TVS protection, relay drivers, and other signal conditioning circuits.
- Bring up, test, validate, and debug prototype hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other laboratory equipment in both bench and field environments.
- Ensure hardware designs comply with EMC/EMI, ESD, industrial noise immunity, and applicable environmental and regulatory requirements through design reviews and validation testing.
- Support manufacturing and production by developing test jigs, troubleshooting production issues, and driving design improvements for quality and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain complete hardware documentation, including schematics, BOMs, validation and test reports,

revision history, and product release documentation.
- Conduct hardware design reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers to promote engineering best practices and design quality.

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, including schematic design, signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, power electronics, and industrial I/O circuits.
- Extensive experience in embedded hardware design using microcontrollers/processors (STM32, NXP, TI, PIC, AVR, or equivalent), including component selection, circuit simulation, BOM optimization, and hardware architecture development.
- Proficiency in PCB design from schematic capture to multilayer layout using Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or equivalent, with expertise in stack-up design, impedance control, signal integrity, grounding, thermal management, and DFM/DFA/DFT practices.
- Solid knowledge of industrial hardware design, including isolated I/O, protection circuits (ESD/EFT/Surge), industrial power supplies, galvanic isolation, and robust designs for harsh operating environments.
- Experience with industrial communication interfaces and protocols, including UART, SPI, I²C, CAN/CANopen, RS-232, RS-485, Modbus, Ethernet, EtherCAT, USB,

and other embedded interfaces.
- Solid understanding of EMI/EMC design and regulatory compliance, with experience designing products for CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, IEC, or equivalent industrial standards.
- Hands-on experience in hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, and production support using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, protocol analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial product development, including enclosure and connector selection, DIN rail systems, manufacturing support, documentation, reliability engineering, and cross-functional collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- 3-4 years of relevant embedded software development experience.

Preferred Skills
