Position: Accounts Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, GST compliance, vendor and client reconciliations, and banking activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience in handling financial transactions, particularly within the travel, hospitality, or service industry.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Accounting Operations

- Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Record Purchase, Sales, Receipt, Payment, Journal, and Contra entries.
- Verify invoices and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Handle customer billing and supplier invoices.
- Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Process debit notes, credit notes, and vendor adjustments.
- Ensure timely posting of all accounting transactions.

Bank & Cash Management

- Perform daily and monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Handle Petty Cash management and reconciliation.
- Monitor bank balances and daily cash flow.
- Coordinate with banks regarding transactions and banking documentation.
- Prepare payment schedules for vendors and suppliers.

Client & Vendor Reconciliation

- Perform weekly Client Ledger Reconciliation.
- Perform weekly Supplier/Vendor Ledger Reconciliation.
- Follow up for outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile customer advances, refunds, and settlements.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies with vendors and clients.

Billing & Financial Reporting

- Generate customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Verify supplier bills and ensure proper approvals.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial summaries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Generate monthly GST reports and reconciliation statements.

Accounts & Finance Operations

- Manage end-to-end accounting, bookkeeping, and finalization of accounts.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and MIS reporting.




- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and cost control.
- Assist management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Taxation & Compliance

- Handle GST compliance, including GST returns, reconciliations, and assessments.
- Ensure timely TDS deductions and filings, including vendor and hotel payments.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and statutory authorities.
- Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Travel & MICE Specific Responsibilities

- Manage payments to hotels, airlines, destination management companies (DMCs), vendors, and event partners.
- Track customer advances, vendor settlements, refunds, and credit notes.
- Reconcile event-wise costing, profitability, and project margins.
- Support budgeting, pricing, and costing for Corporate Travel and MICE projects.
- Monitor financial performance of travel and event operations.

International Transactions & Remittances

- Handle international vendor payments and foreign remittances for overseas hotels, DMCs, airlines, and event partners.
- Ensure compliance with RBI and FEMA guidelines for outward remittances.
- Manage foreign currency transactions, exchange rate calculations, and reconciliations.
- Track international advances, settlements, refunds, and foreign vendor balances.
- Coordinate with banks for forex documentation, remittance processing, and payment timelines.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles.
- Excellent understanding of GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance.




- Experience in Bank Reconciliation and Ledger Reconciliation.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and MIS preparation.
- Good understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under deadlines with high accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
- M.Com, MBA (Finance), or Inter CA is an added advantage.
- Experience with international remittances and forex transactions will be preferred.
