Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.

Shipping-related certifications are an advantage.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in dry bulk, tanker, breakbulk, or general cargo chartering and operations.

Experience handling voyage fixtures, time charters, or contracts of affreightment (COAs).

Exposure to cargoes such as clinker, barite, gypsum, coal, fertilizers, steel products, etc..

Microsoft Excel (Advanced)

Word and Outlook

Shipping software (IMOS, Veson, Danaos, or similar) – preferred

Familiarity with AIS and vessel tracking platforms

Key Responsibilities

Source and evaluate suitable vessels.

Negotiate freight and charter party terms.

Prepare voyage calculations and commercial evaluations.

Coordinate pre-fixture and post-fixture activities.

Monitor vessel movements and cargo operations.

Calculate laytime, demurrage, and despatch.

Liaise with port agents, surveyors, owners, and charterers.

Ensure timely documentation and invoicing.

Solid negotiation skills.

Excellent communication and email drafting.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple voyages simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail in contractual and operational matters.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
