Bolla operates 200+ Retail Gas Stations with Convenience Stores (C-Stores) and automotive repair shops. Bolla partners with major food chains like Burger King, Tim Horton, Pizza Hut, and Subway.
Bolla is a premier Wholesale and Retail Motor Fuel (MF) supplier in Metro New York and New Jersey areas. Through our Bolla Transport division the company hauls Motor Fuel in both New York and New Jersey areas. We supply MF to our 200+ locations as well as an additional 100 Wholesale Dealers. It also constructs Ultra-Modern and upscale Gas Stations with C-Stores.
Bolla has over one Billion dollars in revenues and employs over 1200 Team Members.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Wholesale Accounting Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end accounting operations for wholesale business activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reconciliations, inventory accounting, pricing validation, commission settlements, financial reporting, ERP transaction management, and process improvements while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day wholesale accounting operations across multiple business entities.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and investigate outstanding reconciling items.
- Review and reconcile inventory, sales, purchases, freight costs, and financial transactions.
- Ensure accurate recording and validation of accounting transactions in ERP systems.
- Review and analyze pricing, margins, and cost data to ensure financial accuracy.
- Oversee dealer, supplier,
and commission settlements while ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
- Monitor and validate inventory movements, stock records, and supporting documentation.
- Review and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, pricing, freight charges, and supplier accounts.
- Coordinate with finance, operations, supply chain, and other internal teams to resolve accounting issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, management reports, and business performance dashboards.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal financial controls.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required reconciliations and documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while monitoring productivity and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve accounting processes and financial reporting.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
- Experience in General Ledger, Account Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Expertise in Inventory Accounting and Cost Accounting.
- Strong understanding of pricing analysis, margin analysis, and financial reporting.
- Experience in vendor, customer, and commission reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables,
XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA, CPA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial or team lead role.
- Experience in wholesale, distribution, retail, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or shared services environments is preferred.
- Experience managing high-volume financial transactions and multiple legal entities is an advantage.
