Role description

This is a Full time contractual role (FTC).

Purpose of the Job:

Ensure Pre and Post order Structural Design as per SLA. Return Approval Drawings from client as per SLA targets. Ensure quality of fabrication drawings, manufacturing & site execution QA as per Standards & Implement design development initiatives in-line with Tata Steel expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Feasibility checks for projects, along with identifying & highlighting technical risks

- Ensure Post-order Design & Engineering (D&E;) deliverables meet SLA targets.

- Support Pre Order team on need basis.

- Checking of Client Inputs, tender documents, architectural & other input drawings & information, interface coordination

- Prepare technical specifications, design basis report (DBR). Perform structural designs, design & drawings checking, BOM, BOQ, costing with code compliance, customer requirements along with Structural stability requirements. (For Steel structures & LGSF)

- Check Tekla Models, fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings.

- Ensure the Quantities and costing well within the Pre order stage. Provide BOQ/Costing for the additional scope during the Post order stage.

- Coordination with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks.

- Developing & Checking the GFC drawing and release of BOM/BOQ.

- Co-ordinate with internal & external stakeholders (customer, architect, sales,

- estimation, project planning, project execution,



production, etc) for D&E; activities.

- Coordination with vendor partners for the quality and delivery of the drawings, deliverables as per the schedule and requirements.

- Developing SOP’s, specifications, standard details, manuals, vendor partners. Conduct training to Inhouse engineers and vendor engineering teams.

- Preparing technical specifications for the items required in the design & engineering

- Trouble shooting & resolutions for site related issues in a timely manner.

Skills

Design in prefab, Light gauge steel frame structures/ PEB/ Structural steel and modular steel structure (with Sheetmetal) Structural design & checking experience (Pre order & Post order)

B.E/B.B-Tech Civil/ Mechanical preferably with M.E/M-Tech Civil/Structual
