Job Summary

The F&B; Captain is responsible for supervising restaurant operations during shifts, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and maintaining high standards of hospitality, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of service staff.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
- Welcome guests and assist them with menu selections.
- Take and manage reservations and seating arrangements.
- Monitor food and beverage service quality and presentation.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Train and guide stewards and junior service staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate work responsibilities.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in all service areas.
- Monitor stock levels of service equipment and supplies.
- Assist in achieving departmental sales and guest satisfaction targets.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and food safety standards.

Requirements





- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Food & Beverage Service.
- Previous experience as Captain or Senior Steward in a hotel or restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and guest-handling abilities.
- Valuable knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, and service standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
