Job Description – TGT English Teacher (CBSE)

Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – English
Board: CBSE
Classes: VI to X
Location: Bhrigu Prabha Central School, Hansrajpur, Ekma, Saran, Bihar

Key Responsibilities

- Teach English Language and Literature to students of Classes VI to X as per the latest CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication through classroom activities.
- Conduct periodic tests, evaluate answer sheets, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Prepare students for CBSE examinations through regular practice, revision, and doubt-clearing sessions.
- Integrate digital teaching tools and smart classroom methodologies wherever applicable.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning workplace.
- Communicate students' academic progress with parents during PTMs and through regular feedback.
- Participate in school events, co-curricular activities, staff meetings, workshops, and training programs.
- Perform other academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school management.





Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in English or a related subject.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school is desirable.
- Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and communication skills may also apply.

Required Skills

- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Thorough understanding of the CBSE curriculum and examination pattern.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Proficiency in preparing lesson plans, question papers, and learning materials.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with smart classroom teaching.
- Ability to motivate students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
