Job Summary

SJ Ventures is looking for an experienced Shopify Expert and E-Commerce Web Developer to build, manage and improve our e-commerce websites. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Shopify, website development, online store operations, payment gateways, shipping integrations and conversion optimisation.

The person will be responsible for developing and managing our e-commerce brands, including product listings, website design, technical maintenance, sales optimisation and daily online-store operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and manage Shopify e-commerce websites.
- Customise Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Create landing pages, collection pages, product pages and promotional sections.
- Configure products, variants, collections, pricing, discounts and inventory.
- Install and manage Shopify apps without affecting website speed.
- Integrate payment gateways such as Razorpay, Cashfree, PhonePe or PayU.
- Integrate shipping platforms such as Shiprocket and other logistics partners.
- Configure COD, prepaid payments, shipping rates and order-tracking systems.
- Manage domains, DNS, SSL certificates, email accounts and website settings.
- Improve website speed, mobile responsiveness and user experience.
- Identify and fix technical issues, broken links and checkout problems.
- Manage product uploads, descriptions, images, SEO titles and meta descriptions.
- Set up Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Meta Pixel and conversion tracking.
- Support marketplace operations on Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and other platforms.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, content creators and marketing teams.
- Monitor orders, returns, abandoned carts,



customer behaviour and sales performance.
- Suggest improvements to increase website traffic, conversion rate and average order value.
- Maintain website security, backups and regular updates.

Required Skills

- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in Shopify and e-commerce.
- Robust knowledge of Shopify Admin, Shopify themes and Shopify Liquid.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive web design.
- Experience with Shopify 2.0 themes and custom sections.
- Experience with payment gateway and shipping integrations.
- Knowledge of product catalogue, inventory, order and return management.
- Understanding of e-commerce SEO and website performance optimisation.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console and Meta Pixel.
- Basic knowledge of graphic-editing tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot website and application issues.
- Good communication, time-management and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience managing Amazon, Flipkart or Meesho seller accounts.
- Knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Experience with WhatsApp, CRM and email-marketing integrations.
- Understanding of digital advertising and performance marketing.
- Experience working with D2C, lifestyle, spiritual or devotional-product brands.
- Basic knowledge of API integrations and version control.
