Automation Engineer – Lutron & KNX Systems

Location: Panaji, Goa, India
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Lutron and KNX home and building automation systems to join our technical team. You will be responsible for the design, programming, commissioning, and support of smart home and smart building solutions for high-end residential and commercial projects, including villa and luxury property installations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and program Lutron systems (HomeWorks QS, Palladiom, RA3/RadioRA, Vive) and KNX-based automation solutions for lighting, shading, HVAC, and audio-visual integration
- Prepare and review technical documentation including Bills of Materials (BOM), wiring schematics, and system architecture diagrams
- Conduct on-site installation supervision, system commissioning, and testing for seamless client handover
- Configure and integrate third-party devices and protocols (KNX, DALI, BACnet, Zigbee) within unified automation ecosystems
- Troubleshoot and resolve system faults during installation, commissioning, and post-handover support
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, electrical consultants, and MEP contractors to align automation design with project requirements
- Provide client training on system operation and prepare user manuals/documentation
- Stay current on Lutron and KNX certifications, firmware updates, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field
- 1+ years hands-on experience programming and commissioning Lutron systems (HomeWorks QS/Palladiom certification preferred)
- Working knowledge of KNX programming (ETS software); KNX Partner/Certified Associate credential a robust plus
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems, structured cabling, and building automation network protocols
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, architectural drawings, and BOM documentation
- Strong troubleshooting skills, detail-oriented approach
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Goa and occasionally other regions

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with luxury residential/villa automation projects
- Exposure to complementary systems: Crestron, Control4, DALI lighting, AV integration, CCTV/security
- Prior experience coordinating with architects and interior design teams on integrated MEP/automation planning
