Position Overview

Rockwoods International School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-focused Assistant Teacher to support classroom instruction and contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and well-organized learning environment. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with Lead Teachers to facilitate academic activities, ensure student well-being, and support the overall development of students.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist Lead Teachers in planning and executing daily classroom activities and instructional sessions.
- Support students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and improve classroom participation.
- Prepare and organize teaching aids, learning materials, worksheets, and classroom resources.
- Monitor and supervise students during classroom activities, assemblies, field trips, lunch breaks, and transition periods.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and discipline.
- Assist in classroom management and encourage positive student behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Support the implementation of school programs, events, celebrations, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain classroom displays, student portfolios, records, and documentation as directed by the Lead Teacher.
- Provide additional support to students requiring academic or behavioural guidance.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, coordinators, and other staff members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Uphold the values, standards, and educational philosophy of Rockwoods International School.





Qualifications & Eligibility

- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or Intermediate with relevant school experience.
- Prior experience as an Assistant Teacher, Helping Teacher, Classroom Facilitator, or similar role is preferred.
- Basic understanding of child development and classroom practices.
- Proficiency in English communication; knowledge of Telugu and Hindi will be an added advantage.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology tools are desirable.
