Job Description – Sr. Accountant (Solar or EPC Industry)

Job Title: Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: Green Park Extension , New Delhi
Reports To: Finance Manager / Accounts Head

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company's accounting operations, financial records, statutory compliance, and reporting. The candidate should have experience in the Solar EPC/Infrastructure/Construction industry and be capable of handling project-based accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Accounting (Solar EPC)

- Maintain project-wise cost records.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses.
- Track material procurement costs and subcontractor payments.
- Prepare project profitability and cost analysis reports.
- Coordinate with Project Managers regarding project expenditures.

GST & Taxation

- Prepare and file GST returns.
- Reconcile GSTR-2B, GSTR-1, and GSTR-3B.
- Deduct and deposit TDS as per applicable provisions.
- Prepare TDS returns and issue TDS certificates.
- Assist during Income Tax and GST assessments.

Documentation

- Maintain accounting records and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents.

Accounting & Finance

- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in ERP/Tally.
- Prepare and maintain General Ledger, Cash Book, Bank Book, and Journal Entries.
- Process vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and customer invoices.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.




- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com).
- CA Inter.

Experience

- Min. Experience of 3–7 years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in Solar EPC, Electrical, Infrastructure, Construction, or Renewable Energy industry is required.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, MIS Reporting).
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Solid communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Knowledge

- Solar EPC project accounting.
- Vendor and subcontractor payment management.
- Project budgeting and cost control.
- Inventory and fixed asset accounting.
- Experience in handling multiple project accounts.
