Job Title: OT Technician (Operation Theatre Technician)

Reports To: OT In-charge / Surgeon / Hospital Administrator

Job Summary:

The OT Technician is responsible for assisting surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff during surgical procedures. They ensure that the operation theatre is properly prepared, sterilized, and equipped with all necessary instruments and supplies to maintain a safe and efficient surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain the operation theatre before, during, and after surgeries
- Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures
- Arrange surgical instruments in proper order for operations
- Monitor and manage OT equipment such as ventilators, anesthesia machines, and surgical tools
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and hygiene standards
- Dispose of biomedical waste as per hospital guidelines
- Check and restock OT supplies and maintain inventory




- Assist in patient positioning and shifting before and after surgery
- Ensure all documentation related to OT procedures is properly maintained

Required Qualifications:

- Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or relevant field
- Certification in OT Technology (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments

Experience:

- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital OT setup (freshers can also apply)

Skills & Competencies:

- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and quick response time
- Basic technical knowledge of OT equipment

Working Conditions:

- On-call availability for emergency surgeries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹6,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
