Key Responsibilities

- Assess, examine, and manage critically ill patients admitted to the ICU.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, laboratory investigations, and clinical progress.
- Implement treatment plans as advised by consultants.
- Attend medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest, trauma, and code blue situations.
- Perform clinical procedures such as arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, central venous line assistance, intubation assistance, catheterization, and other bedside procedures as per competency.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records, progress notes, and treatment documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and other departments regarding patient care.
- Interpret laboratory and radiology reports and communicate significant findings to consultants.
- Ensure timely referrals and consultations with other specialties.
- Counsel patients' relatives regarding patient status under consultant guidance.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, NABH standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in ICU rounds, clinical meetings, mortality reviews, and departmental audits.
- Ensure timely documentation of discharge summaries, transfer notes, and death summaries where applicable.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME), training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the ICU Consultant or Medical Superintendent.

Educational Qualification

- MBBS from a recognized medical college.
- Valid State Medical Council Registration (Mandatory).




- ACLS and BLS Certification preferred.
- Fellowship or training in Critical Care will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 0–3 years of experience in ICU, Emergency Medicine, or Critical Care.
- Fresh MBBS graduates with ICU exposure during internship may also apply.

Required Skills

- Sound knowledge of critical care medicine.
- Ability to manage medical emergencies effectively.
- Basic knowledge of ventilator management and critical care monitoring.
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Teamwork, professionalism, and a patient-centric approach.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Timely assessment and management of ICU patients.
- Accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation.
- Compliance with ICU protocols, infection control, and NABH standards.
- Response time during medical emergencies and Code Blue events.
- Effective coordination with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Patient safety and adherence to clinical quality indicators.
- Participation in clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Working Conditions

- Full-time, rotational shift duties (Day/Night).
- Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced ICU workplace.
- Must be available for emergency response and critical care duties as per hospital roster.

Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
