STP Operator

Experience

- 0-1 years of experience in STP operations or similar duties
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Educational Qualification

- Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of water systems and pumping mechanisms

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor STP systems, including intake, screening, aeration, and filtration units
- Perform daily inspection and maintenance of pumping stations and related infrastructure
- Track and maintain process parameters such as pH levels, flow rates, and sludge levels
- Document operations and any anomalies or equipment failures
- Follow safety protocols and ensure adherence to operational standards
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

- Basic understanding of water treatment processes and systems




- Familiarity with water pumps, their operation, and maintenance
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Excellent attention to detail and observation skills
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting purposes

Nice to Have (Skills)

- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems or wastewater monitoring tools
- Certifications in pump operation or wastewater treatment (e.g., CPO – Certified Plant Operator)
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures
- Prior experience in STP units preferred
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic system issues
