Patient Counsellor – Eye Hospital Background mandatory

Job Title: Patient Counsellor

Location: Janakpuri West

Job Summary

The Patient Counsellor is responsible for guiding and supporting patients and their attendants through the eye care process. This role includes explaining diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, costs, and post-treatment care, ensuring a smooth and empathetic patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Counsel patients regarding eye conditions, investigations, treatments, and surgical procedures (e.g., cataract, refractive surgery).

· Explain treatment plans, consent forms, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes in straightforward language.

· Coordinate with doctors, optometrists, OT, billing,



and insurance/TPA teams.

· Assist patients with appointment scheduling, admission, discharge, and follow-ups.

Qualifications & Experience

· Graduate in any discipline (Eye Hospital/Healthcare/Medical background preferred).

· 1–10 years of experience in patient counselling or healthcare services (eye hospital experience preferred).
